Accountants
either qualified as overseas chartered or tertiary qualified accountants or who
have worked overseas as accountants and have migrated to New Zealand and those
who are employed, self employed or are students. A need has been felt that such
accountants come together and interact with each other and also with other Accountants,
to share their knowledge, experiences and the problems they face and likely solutions.
A support
group for all such accountants inclusive of all other accountants commenced on
October 20, 2003.
It is called the New Zealand Association of Accountants (NZAA) a non-profit professional
organization. This Association was incorporated on June 17, 2004.
This Association
will promote opportunities for networking, professional and personal development,
employment, self-employment, education, sports and social activities.
The NZAA
Inc. will fill the need for an alternative, active, cohesive, participative, inclusive
and progressive professional body to unify members. It is an inclusive association.
Through
unity and networking the association will fully participate in the economic development
of our great country New Zealand for the benefit of all New Zealanders.
